    How would I go about swaping a JDM Toyota 2JZ VVTI twin turbo 3.0L in to Tacoma V6 Manuel?

    Oh let’s see, several thousand dollars (at least, 2JZ parts are not cheap), and lots and lots of fabrication skills and wiring skills.

    Engine swaps are not easy. They take some people months (even years) and require a lot of mechanical skill.

    Most likely find a shop willing to do the job pay time and materials !!

    Start with a $10,000.00 deposit for the first weeks work.

    As one person was paying $4800.00 just to swap the same engine

    Why do people always want to talk about swapping a 2JZ in a Tacoma/4Runner? Is it for the "mad props, respect yo!" reactions or what.

    @se7enine

    I looked on Wikipedia because I didn't know why either. I'm not an engine swap expert, or even amateur!

    But the reason could be they have seen that there was a North American and Euro version that stock output is 321hp. I believe the article says the Japanese auto companies had a passenger vehicle hp limit of 265 at that time.

    It’s the Japanese “LS swap” equivalent apparently haha

    Id argue an LS swap to be way easier. And you may get better results in the end. If its a prerunner, the parts to make a 5.3 and tranny bolt up with little fab work all exist.
