Hey guys, I have an 06 TRD sport with the 4.0L engine. I was able to get a engine and transmission out of a 2014 Tacoma also a 4.0L engine. Will the 2014 4.0L engine work in my 06 Tacoma??

Yes, but emmisions are a bit different. Also probably needs a different ECU. Those are the basic things I know you'll need, I know more about the 2.7 that's that's all I know for sure.

You can not use the ‘14 transmission or ECU in your ‘06.

You can use the ‘14 engine in your ‘06, but you must transfer the right exhaust manifold and a few things from your ‘06.
