Hey guys doing an engine swap on my 07 Taco. The "new" engine is in and connected to the tranny and all. Anything I should do before starting it up? I'm double-checking all wires and hoses. 5.5 quarts of oil is what I hear it takes, the "new" engine is 2011. I'm doing a write-up on my experience after its running!

Radiatior and all other fluid full, and hoses connected to the correct ports?

Not much to worry about, fluids, grounds, hoses, mounts tight.

Make sure the coolant burps out the air while it idles and double check everything after a test drive.

I’d suggest to roll it to a clean dry spot. Then once you start it, it’s easy to see a leak. Clear any error codes, then recheck after the test drive.

Was the engine a rebuild (dry), or a runner (wet)? If it was dry, then I would roll it over a bunch before starting just to make sure you have oil at the top end.
