So the engine on my 2006 Tacoma went out and I found a good deal on an engine from a 2011 Tacoma there both the 4.0. If anyone has done anything like this how compatible are the two. Would i need to change out other parts

Engine itself should be identical 05-11, 12-15 had different cylinder heads.
You will need to transfer the engine harnesses from your engine to the replacement engine and I would also recommend using the sensors and injectors off your engine if they were in working order prior to it failing as well.
