I have an 8 yr, 100k mile comprehensive warranty. Mine is a little 'tappy' when cold but if there is an issue with it, I am hoping it shows up before 100k. :D

Finally picked the truck up today and guess what....it's freaking QUIET!!!

Here's what was written on the service sheet:

"C/S there is a ticking noise in the engine. Sounds like a lifter. Happens all the time. Please check and advise. Removed left bank valve cover. Did not visually see any damage. Performed valve clearance check. Found cylinder 2 #2 intake valve with .0030 clearance. Removed all components to remove left bank cams. Removed #2 shim bucket lifter. Found excessive wear on top of valve and lifter. Removed all components to remove left cylinder head. Inspected valve guide. Found excessive clearance between valve and guide. Replaced left bank cylinder head. Both intake valves, springs and 1 lifter. Performed R&R valves from old head to new head and valve grind. Reinstalled all components."

Part replacement concurs with above...I'm happy.

Congrats, hope it stays that way. Can't believe it took them a week just to finish it though.

    Woot woot!

BTW, Clifford's built stroker engine is the quietest 1GR I have heard yet. And I have spent a lot of time with the 1GR. Seems proper clearances make all the difference. ;)
