None. 220k miles, just did a major brake/ suspension overhaul to keep him on the road.
Context: 2009 Toyota Tacoma : 229,313 Mi on the clock.
I do all my own maintence since I own it. Bought it from my aunt at 218K, have service records up to 200K….
Northeast, Maine. Last month I had a weird bearing noise/wine. So LSS I replaced the tensioner (bad), alternator(JUNK), idler pulleys (all) and the ac compressor (never had ac). My uncles shop charged the Ac and it works YAY! Yes that’s the old belt.. I have a new belt it was supposed to go on Friday after work.

Drove it around for the last 35 days everything has been normal. I went to start up the truck for work 5:30 am- 40° outside. after it sat for a week and heard a clink/ clunk sound. I started recording and popped the hood. (See video/ imigur link) It only happens on cold start up or long time between startup. I was about due for an oil change so I went and did that yesterday 5/17/23. After about 30-45- 60? seconds it goes away. Once or twice I hear a clunk in that final seconds then it’s gone. But it was noticeable at work my boss heard it. I recorded it today after the truck sat all day (WFH: Thr-Fri). Sounds like top of engine passenger side/ fan/ front area.

What I can find narrows it down to rod knock ???, valve/ lifters, timing chain/solenoid.

Any good sources or videos to help me or should I just take it to the dealer (leaning this way)

Take the belt off and start it and see if the noise is gone, that will tell you if it's something on the belt drive or in the engine itself.

Sounds like a bad lifter. Is the truck running smooth?

Possibly an exhaust leak near the manifolds? Grab a piece of rubber hose put one side up to your ear and the other near the exhaust manifolds while it’s running. See if you can hear the exhaust pulsing/leaking

I replaced the exhaust manifold on passenger side about 3 months ago, new gasket, new studs. Yes I Am having a small leak at the Y pipe. That was my next thing to tackle until this. (Also thank you for the reply, Thank you)

Yes once the ticking stops in 30-45 seconds the truck runs smooth. I had it up to 75 Mph on my way to work the first day.
