    Hey guys,
I’ve got a stock 20 Tacoma v6 DCSB 4x4 with 22k that makes a whistling sound around 2000-2100 rpms from the front engine area, and only while accelerating, regardless of mph. It completely disappears as soon as I take my foot off the accelerator, and doesn’t make any sounds outside of those rpms. I can cruise at 2000-2100 rpms and there’s no whistle. Any ideas before I take it to the dealer?

It’s been cold as hell here, so I haven’t been using the AC. I was thinking it could be a belt, maybe?

Suggest to look for loose intake connections.

Another source could be exhaust connections.

    Check the radiator fan.

After that.........you may need a helper to run the throttle while you listen under the hood.

Noises can be very hard to isolate.
