See... I was with you when you said no to the hood scoop... Trucks just shouldn't have hood scoops in my eyes... Especially nonfunctional skewps...

But then you carried on with that ford bullshit. There's more problems with that tranny than all the Thailand trannies combined.

I dunno.....my Ford is great, but so is my Tacoma. Maybe I just have a high pain threshold.

We’re gonna move the Tacoma factory back to California first!.....then move it right to Tacoma Wa. where it fuckin-well belongs!!!.....(then later we’ll move it to Longview because land is cheap and wages lower).

Bring back regular cab option, inline six engine with turbo (2JZ maybe), manual hubs, six speed manual with proper truck ratios, ability to chose axle ratios, option of 10 spd auto like the one in some Lexus models, stripped down work truck model (no rear seats on x-cab, no power windows, no nanny safety crap, etc.), lockers front and rear, frame that won't rust out in less than 20 years, decent led headlights, better seats, cruise control standard on all models.

Or, they could just buy chassis from Ford, engine from Cummins, trans from Allison, and have a near perfect truck the easy way...

If I pretended you said bench instead of recaro or the bit about the suspension then it would sound like you want my first truck,83 f150 lol

Never a month it didn’t break down, but it was always a 20$ part and an hour fix. Hell I melted a piston and ruined the head and for 6 months it ran like a champ anyways just knocked a bit at 65.

Are you drunk or actually retarded?

Edit: some stuff makes sense, but I can’t get over the 2J comment. And assuming you mean a GTE and not a GE

I did say 2J with turbo. As far as I'm concerned ANY inline six would beat what we currently have.

What part of my ideas imply that I'm drunk? I'm an old school truck driver/mechanic. I don't like where vehicles, Tacoma included, are headed now. That's why mine current one is reg cab, 4 cyl 5 spd base model. I've never owned a V6, and don't want to, but an inline 6 would be great. I don't need or want, an extra, or double cab either.

Front and rear *mechanical lockers on the OR and/or Pro trims. Sweet Odin's beard is the current rear e-locker finicky to engage at times.

A lever to engage 4wd hi and low - dial is ok, but a lever is mo betta.

No piano black plastic or plasti-chrome anything, at least on the interior.

More articulation in the steering wheel adjustment, especially with consideration to the...what, one inch?...of telescope.

These are probably things you internet strangers would agree with, even stun gun.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
The only thing I would ask for is that all models have the option for all options. I can understand the pro having a few specifically for that model but not all the others. I realize it's not just Toyota that does this but just saying the days of ordering exactly what you want aren't what they used to be.
    Examples:
Sorry you can only get that with an Automatic.
That model only comes in shortbed.
Sorry but the only way to get that option is to get these options too?
Many others but you know what I'm sayin. :hattip:

I almost laughed when the salesman tried to upsell me to a Pro... I’m buying a sport, obviously I’m not super worried about crazy off-roading. I just want a reliable mid-size truck that looks good and I don’t have to worry about driving to hunting, fishing, or camping spots with.

Although, If the pro came with the fox suspension AND the smaller tundra V8 I would have Leeroy Jenkins’d that loan soooooo quick.
