I'm about to graduate with an meche degree in Maryland and I am wanting to move out to the SF area. If you know of any companies with entry level hiring positions or internships I'd appreciate any information. Thanks.

Would look into local government agencies, there is always openings with them and they come about often. The pay is extremely competitive, but keep in mind everyone wants one of these positions they get a lot of applicants find one before you move because SF if a pricey place to live. I wish someone would have given me this advice. it took me 6 months to land a position.

    back to bone stock.
it's so competitive here. most of the public agencies have hiring freezes.

in case someone with any horsepower with respect to hiring peeks in; i'd clean up that first post.

lead off with a first name, introduction, etc.

i occasionally hire young engineers. i've never considered anyone that came up to me and asked, "hi, are you hiring?"

good luck!!! it is fantastic living here. you are going to love it.

County of San Mateo is hiring quite a few engineering positions at the moment. Just take a peek at their HR website.
