So what yall think, go buy a new throttle body?
And check inside the plenum to see if the internal air door is broken?

This is the message I got this morning after tidying up the engine bay and securing everything properly.

You still have the same codes?
And do you have your own scan tool?

    Method to the madness.
    And my questions above....
Throwing parts at it is a bad idea.

Replace the Throttle body and be ready to replace the ECM after that.

It’s super common for the wheel wells to be cut out lol. It’s totall
ok got it. Why would I need to replace the Eck as well?

Maybe you won't but I recently had both replaced, explanation given was that throttle body fried the Ecm on the way out, it threw a ton of different codes and went into limp mode. They replaced the ECM and immediately it threw another code indicating the throttle body was bad. I am still not clear which one was first kinda like the chicken or the egg.

It may not be your issue I just thought I would throw that out there while reading your troubles. Seems these trucks throw quite a few different codes that actually have nothing to do with the issue when something goes wrong. I had everything from pre collision to traction control to abs lights and codes going off.

What happens if you replace both and the issue is still there?
There's a wiring harness between the TB and ECM.
And there a possibility that something is physically stopping the throttle plate from moving.

Both the parts you are "replacing" are not cheap.

How many miles on the truck...if the ECM has to be replaced and it's under 80K it should be under the emissions warranty (mine was)

    Not necessarily.....
OP's truck is far from stock.
The dealership certainly has a case to argue.

Yea that’s what they told me. They didn’t want to look any further into the vehicle with how modified it is. I mentioned to the tech that he should check voltage on throttle and explained the same thing you told me to do. He would’ve done the test but I figured I just save my money and spend it on a scope meter to have. Thank you for the voltage chart provided. I will find a graphing scope meter.

I’ve just pulled both abs 1 and 2 fuses to see if that was the reason it was limping out. But none of the codes I have would
Lead me to believe that was the problem. Yea throttle body is 300$ and new ecm is 200$ plus programming at the dealer. The engine only has 47k on it. Going to do the same repeated tests today and see if the truck limps out on me again after removing abs fuses.

Bro what? This truck has full custom suspension on trailing arms and a +5 kit up front. Just because the stupid wheel wells were cut out don’t mean it’s destroyed dummy. I know you guys like to keep your little tacos nice and neat and never beat on them. The engine and trans are fine, all it needs is some electrical fixes. Otherwise I’m saying fuck the 2g 3.5 and throwing in a 6.2 ls3 baby!

    Yeah, man.
As someone that's been banned for saying something about others in a "different" country.
    I'd maybe modify that statement.

I really do want to see you get the truck fixed.
    Seriously, I do.

    I've screwed things up myself.
And I've had other guys "leave me on my own. Not willing to help".
So I kind of feel bad for you man.

I'd check the throttle voltage with a scan tool.
Then move to the TB or wiring and on to the ECM depending on the findings.
