enine code P219A

have a 2014 tacoma 2 wd double cab V6 - 640 miles on it - yes that is right 640 miles on it - engine light came on, took it to the dealer they pulled the code then cleared it - they could not come up with anything for that code - 20 miles later light is back on - anybody have any thoughts as to what it could mean ? and why it came back on ? truck had 360 miles on it when nI took ownership of it so as you can imagine how I am feeling about now
this is a company vehicle outfitted with a ladder rack, auto locking tailgate, bed cover so having a loaner is not really an option! or at least a good one

 

I don't even see that Trouble Code in the shop manual. Only thing is shows is a P220. I'm interested to know myself too?

 

Everything that I find points to this:

P0219A Bank 1 Air / Fuel Imbalance detected.

The air fuel imbalance monitor is designed to detect differences in the air fuel ratio between cylinders per engine bank. The test fails if the air fuel ratio difference per cylinder is greater than a calculated amount.

Tell the Service writer what the code means. You should not have to do anything. Warranty. Be firm and polite.

This is not the plain p0219 for engine over speed, ( Note the A at the end ).

 

i had this code on a corolla and it had burnt exhaust valves

 

I had that code on a 12 corolla as well burnt cyl 3 exhaust valve was a rental car had e85 in the tank

 

lmao had was a rental also but no e85

 

I'm sure it did the tank or two before that lol

 

or they beat the piss out of it
