Short answer: Like a glove, but no forcing necessary.

    Long answer:
There's a lot of misinfo out there about hub centric vs lug centric and all that. These wheels have 60 degree tapered lug seats so "technically" they are lugcentric. Snugging the wheel lugs down properly- in a criss cross pattern while the tire is off the ground- will index them to exactly where they need to be, no spacer needed. Adding the spacer would put them exactly where they needed to be to begin with, so you'd have a double-indexed hub and lug centric setup.

Anyways, keep in mind that when there's an ID/OD difference between hub and bore, the gap you're going to see is half that when properly indexed- roughly 1.2mm all around. I would say the center caps soak up at least a good ~.7mm of that play so now you are looking at half a millimeter of play on a wheel that is going to properly index itself down anyways. AKA, like a glove. ;)

Awesome, thanks so much for the info. I guess I just always thought you’d want the hub to support the wheel. I always got the impression that lugs were only to keep wheels on and not actually support the vehicle.

Hubs never support the weight. Even if your hubcentric wheels are spot on the money, like a 106.2mm bore on a 106.1mm hub, there's gonna be that tiny .05mm gap... unless you literally hammer your wheels onto the vehicle there's not going to be contact along the full circumference!

Neither the hub or the lugs are what supports the weight, actually. It's the friction force of the mating faces being tightly clamped together. This is why a clean mating surface is so incredibly important. You want your hub, rotor, and wheel faces all clean as you possibly can and dead flat against each other. That's what keeps everything together.

The reason you generally want to aim for a very close hubcentric fit is because it minimizes the risk of vibration due to not being properly indicated on the axle during installation. The less sloppy the better, but your conical nut seats will take care of the rest.

@Nitori One last question. Did you have any lug nut issues with running the tuner lugs? From what I've read, the oem studs are fairly short and sometimes don't allow safe thread engagement with some aftermarket wheels.

I get over 8 turns to contact, past 9 turns with torque to 85 foot pounds. With a 1.5mm thread pitch that works out to about 13.5mm engagement. The rule of thumb, depending on who you asked, is 1 to 1.5 times stud diameter, which I fall partway between.

The studs certainly could be longer, but I’m not worried.

I like these. Comparable wheel to what I'm running currently. I wish there was a bronze option.

Although, it would seem that the "variety of colors" is not actually the case.

Here they are. They’re actually way more bronze than they appear in pictures. I love em though!
