Yes. Because all 750k come on forums to bitch. No. They go to the dealer. Like I said, I love my truck, but your making mountains out of molehills analogy is simply wrong. Again, you think you’re right. NO! In fact, you know you’re right. That makes you dangerous. No one here said it was a widespread issue. We just, like me, has said I/we have this issue. You’re the one twisting and bending words to suit your narrative that it’s not a problem cause your perception is that you’re correct and everyone else is wrong.

Next time you buy a vehicle. Invest some of the time you spend complaining online to actually research / test the product. Maybe that way, you could figure out that it isnt the product for you.

Typical social justice snowflake non-binary mentality.

In fact, I’ll just come to you cause you know it all. Don’t even need to take that 15 minute test drive, on any vehicle, cause, well, you have all the answers.

Typical millennial I live in mommies basement and I know more than you cause I read da InTeRWeBs mentality.

I have one set of data to go on...do you?
The Tacoma sales figures keep increasing and the resale remains strong. Even a first year business major can figure out that a majority love this truck. People don't buy what they don't like. People don't buy things they have problems with. In fact, people quit buying vehicles that have issues. Yet this truck just gets more popular.
So that's my data that I think proves the vast majority have no problems with this truck.
You counter that instead the majority of people don't post about their problems, they just go to the dealer. I don't work at Toyota so I have no access to their data, nor do you. So where is your data? What do you use to validate your opinion?

I, most definitely, do not know it all. But I know enough to not be the one complaining about the vehicle that I CHOSE for purchase.

I know enough to not blame Toyota, and instead be thankful that they made this great product for me to enjoy.

I’ll say it again since you don’t understand comprehension.

I have a few problems. So do many others. More, or less, than we both know. You have same data as everyone else and if that’s what you base it on, then You weren’t taught how hypotheses work and the gathering of data from multiple sources. One set of data can be skewed one way or another. ....point is again ...no one here has said, THIS TRUCK SUCKS! and/or WE HATE OUR TRUCK! No. We are simply saying that there are a few things that WE feel need addressing but you keep dismissing them and telling us to deal with it.

Now get over your flipping sales numbers from Toyota and help people address their problems.

You remind me of the people that blame and want to sue McDonals for their CAD, HTN and DM.

“No you silly bastard! Stop eating their food, if it is bad for you. Dont continue to stuff your face with their food every day and then shift blame onto them because your arteries are clogged and health went down the toilet!”

I’m not complaining. Never have. Said that there are a few things thaT “I” feel need addressing. In fact, if you actually read the whole thread, I said I love my truck and am mostly happy with it. But just because you don’t have a problem, and yes, this is a Toyota problem, doesn’t mean others don’t.

Then ADDRESS THEM and quit your crying.

I wanted bigger tires and more clearance, so I bought new suspension, tires and trimmed my fenders. I didn’t go crying to Toyota, demanding they fix my “issue”.

    Do a motor swap.
    Do an aftermarket tune.
    Add more aggressive gearing.
    Lighten your truck.
    Supercharge or turbo your truck.
Learn to modulate your right foot on the throttle and learn / pay attention to your vehicle.
    Sell it.

Do something other than blame Toyota and see how fast the “issue” gets corrected.

    Well, you Guys are like:

“Well uhh, we don’t have a problem so neither should you. Quite blaming your truck and the manufacturer if it’s got a problem, blame 9/11 or bad pudding.”

Seriously, if you went to wal mart and bought a TV that got great reviews and brought it home to only have no sound, are you gonna take it back? Get another one? What? Or should you be told to deal with it?

God you have no clue. Sit down. Mods etc are a far cry from the issues at hand.

When you state that there are issues Toyota needs to correct, you are complaining.

Just because you have an issue / complaint, it does not automatically make it a Toyota problem. YOU have the problem. YOU created your own problem, by agreeing to vehicle terms without realizing that you weren’t entirely happy with the tuning on the vehicle.

Fraction of a percentage that don’t?

Nearly every review article and video complained about the tune. TFL, redline reviews, Scott Moran motoring, all the little individual small channels, the big magazine channels and even consumer reports— all made comments about the engine.

Toyota re-wrote the engine programming, then tested that programming and kept it under warranty. That’s millions of dollars in costs to appease a so-called small fraction of percent.

Toyota won’t even take a risk on a making a sports car on their own despite being the largest auto manufacturer in the world. Further , This company hasn’t changed the tundra in 10 years.

You’re telling me this ultra conservative company, with the market segment leading small pickup, is just going to spend millions to update a model’s already sold vehicles even though the vehicle already owns the market and is setting historic sales records? Just to appease a small unnoticeable percent?

So basically, you buy a new vehicle, after thousands of miles of driving and a problem with the truck occurs, it’s not Toyota’s fault. It’s yours for buying it. Gotcha!

So let me get this right... you are saying that your problem with the way the truck drives suddenly appeared out of nowhere?

All these guys can do is tell you it’s your fault. Truck won’t start after a week? Your fault. Wipers quite working? Your fault. They can’t even acknowledge that someone might have a problem that isn’t in the realm of being normal. All they can do is spew sales figures. I’m done arguing with these guys. For the most part they are a helpful bunch, just not on this issue. I’m out.

Thants what I thought... Issue didnt just “pop up”. You didnt pay attention on the test drive. Bought the truck only to realize a bit later that you werent happy with the way it drives and now instead of maning up, shift blame to Toyota, looking for a handout.

Or just don't buy the truck. Buy competition. That will bring about change faster than anything.
