2016 Tacoma TRD

Setting up text messaging in my (new to me) Tacoma. I got it working yesterday. Pair Bluetooth, click the ‘i’ allow notifications. Success.

But this morning it wasn’t working. I click messages and I get the error message listed in the title. I’ve unpaired and reset. All of that. I can’t seem to find this issue in the threads, but I’m a total newbie. Any help would be great.

Pretty sure I had same similar situation when I upgraded to the third gen. Believe it was a setting in my phone that I changed to allow it to work. I have iPhone XS Max.
