There is a weather app I could choose to put in one of the sections of my home screen. I don’t think it’s Entune related.

I think it’s actually part of XM service, my last truck (non-Toyota) had this as well and it looked very similar.

CBRDude - what kind of an arrogant F@ck are you to make a statement like this?

"If you look at Toyotas demographics of the people buying these trucks they aren’t rocket scientists. Thus this type of technology is not warranted.

They are aimed at the low end of technology users. The Tacoma is an entry level to medium truck buyer. People with more money and snow on the roof are buying higher end full sized trucks.

They don’t sell many limited models compared to the other models."

We have the exact same truck. How do you like it so far?

I could get extremely “wordy” as a response because how someone likes a vehicle is usually in comparison with their last vehicle experience.

With that said, I’ve had a couple of Tacoma’s in the past, a 89 and a 95. Since the 95, I moved onto full size Domestic trucks due to a growing family. Now at this stage of life, moving back to mid-size was possible.

And now with that said ... lol .... I am absolutely loving it. If I had to go buy a vehicle today, I would buy the same exact truck. If I had to make any complaint, it would be just that the electronics are dated, even though they just updated their head units, their overall electronics still look dated but I’ll also add, they do work well.

Like I said, wordy. ;). How about you? And what vehicle are you coming from?

I also am enjoying my 2020 Limited. My Taco history goes back to 2010 when I bought a new SR ACLB. After moving I no longer needed the LB so I traded it in on a new 2013 DCSB Sport. That truck gave me great service. I recently had the itch for more bells and whistles so I traded it in on my 2020 Limited. I was somewhat disappointed in the new oil filter design as I have been doing it myself and enjoyed it. I do get 4 years of free oil changes from the dealer, so I’ll have to trust them to do it right. The only problem with the new 2020 was the constant error message that would appear on the head unit. I had to touch the message or any other button to make it go away. It wanted me to download an app. When trying to do that I was instructed to scan (or manually enter) my VIN. Ite app wouldn’t accept it, so I thought it was a lost cause. I read a tip from another member about downloading an app to my phone (Toyota+Alexa). Now no more stupid message. I can’t wait for summer so I can open the sunroof and rear sliding window.

The dealer went through the app setup and unit update for me so I think I got lucky and didn’t have those issues but I could definitely see that being an annoyance.

I hate to say it as I use to do my own maintenance but now, it’s their problem. Lol. They gave me 2 years of free maintenance so I’ll use it and I will enjoy their free coffee and baked goodies for an hour while I read Tacomaworld. ;)

the oil changes are super easy. there is an aluminum housing for the oil filter that you can buy that replaces the plastic one. i had to after breaking one of the wings off of the factory one. i even saw there is an adapter that converts that housing into a traditional oil filter , though i would rather leave it more stock since thats how the truck was engineered. you will love the truck, easy to work on. 80k miles on my 2016, all oil changes at 5k miles , after the free ones.

Add a leaf to springs at Deaver Springs Santa Ana.
Yes, the 2020 is very slow compared to my 2016. And the cameras are out of focus, and Dictation occasionally doesn't come up for texting, and now Alexa is no longer an option. Having the radio head swapped out as I type this. Hope this fixes all.

I just ordered an OEM Entune 3.0 radio from infotainment.com. Here is the link: https://www.infotainment.com/collec...rplay-and-android-auto?variant=31755246796836

They said it'll be about 2 weeks for shipping, so I'll update everyone on how this one works. If you decide to purchase as well, chat with a representative online for a bit and ask for a discount code. Jerry was the guy I spoke with and he provided a code that provided no tax, 5% discount, and free shipping!

Has anyone figured out the relevant part #'s? It looks like JBL/ non JBL and whether they have the GPS unit ( the thinner bottom piece, like the one shown) or have CD's ?

The thinner piece at the bottom is not GPS, its the XM radio tuner.

Is that irterchangeable? Some of the photos show the radios without the xm module , yet its in the menu on the screen. It shows xm on the faceplate of that radio, yet it doesn't have the lower piece?

I know when you remove it from the 2016-2019 models (entune 2) it removes the icon from the menu. Not sure what it would do to the entune 3 system though.

So they are selling this one pictured without the xm module then?

2016-2020 Toyota Tacoma Entune 3.0 Radio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
I have a new OEM Tacoma Entune 3.0 Head Unit radio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It's plug and play. Never been used - I only hooked it up to see if everything works.

I decided I no longer wanted this head unit and for me to return it, they are going to charge me shipping and a 15% restocking fee. I am NOT looking to profit from this - you can see from my order details that I paid about $1900 for this (see attached picture). I'm only asking for $1800. This will only work if you have the non JBL head unit to replace. If you want a Toyota OEM head unit with Entune 3.0, this is it!
