Entune Advantage?

Hello everyone, I have a 2018 Sport and haven’t registered to Entune as of yet since I mainly been using the Bluetooth. Is there any advantage on doing so? Am I missing any good features etc? Can I unregistered if I don’t like the updates and have the HU back to stock?

Any feedbacks, suggestions would be gladly appreciated!

 

I don’t think using all the features changes the head unit. It just makes more apps available when logged in and connected. Not logged in, those features aren’t available, and everything else is the same.

 

I installed the app, it adds iheart radio and slacker. then gives you some other GPS functions. I found all to be useless. If you unistall the app, iheart radio and slacker will still be in your options menu and you have to click through them to get back to FM or bluetooth.

To remove iheart radio and slacker, you have to remove personal settings. This will clear most things, and you will have to redo your radio settings (pair phone, set up presets)

PRO-TIP: if you dont use XM, and dont want the icon anymore, remove the radio and unplug the XM module. Its the box on the bottom of the radio with the brown plug on it.

 

Good info guys! By registering, does the HU keep up with the latest updates or any important notification etc as well?

 

Updates are few and far between, your not gaining anything from it aside from iheart radio and slacker

 

Can I ask, what is slacker?

 

Sometimes I use the navigation search feature to set my destination. That you need to log in.

However I’d say 90% of the time I don’t use it because for some reason I have to log in every time I want to.

Everything you do with the entune app can be done just with bluetooth. entune app just puts the interface on the headunit instead of the phone.

Since I use google play music, these options were useless for me.

 

Are you able to see text msgs on the tachometer or HU?
