Entune and contact list

Found it odd that if I'm driving, my contact list from my i-phone won't display so I can't make a call from it. Also, the "handset only" button disappears while driving. As soon as I'm in park, both appear . Doesn't make sense...is this how they're supposed to work?

 

Its a safety feature. They want you to keep your eyes on the road.

 

If there are numbers that you definitely want access to, add them to favorites. They will be available when driving.

 

I have the numbers I use the most programmed in favorites.

 

If you have the voice command feature on your steering wheel you can use it to phone all contacts.
