I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on a 2014 Taco and my only continuing hangup seems to be the stereo. It appears that Toyota has recently done away with the premium JBL option, except on the limited and Baja packages. So, a buyer is left with really two options (within the larger off-road packages). I think my course at this point will be to purchase the standard entune and immediately swap it for a decent after-market stereo/speakers. My only question, now, is - is there any difference in the two entune packages as far as the functionality is concerned? Meaning, the steering wheel controls, camera, bluetooth (mic), Sirius, etc. My goal is to get the basic supporting wiring and hardware for as little as possible without giving up anything and having the switch to after-market go a seamlessly as possible. Not concerned with the nav feature BTW.

In CA it's common to see the JBL package with the TRD Sport models, so you can definitely get it on something less than the Limited if you look around. (And in my experience it's pretty rare to see JBL/Nav with the 2014 TRD OR.)

I'm told by two local dealer that this recently changed. The Toyota web site seems to back this up, as JBL isn't part of a bigger package anymore. Not a big deal since an aftermarket system should sound better anyway.

I believe I misspoke in my heading. I should have said Entune Audio Plus vs. Entune Premium Audio.

    There are 4 different configurations:

    Entune Audio
    Entune Audio PLus
    Entune Premium Audio
    Entune Premium JBL Audio

According to Toyota's website, http://www.toyota.com/entune/tacoma/ you would have to go with Entune Audio Plus to get sirius. Steering wheel controls should be the same with the exception of the JBL. It adds a voice button (at least on my '13 it did anyways)

I'm glad I got a 13. I personally like the JBL / Nav. Yes I know a aftermarket system would sound better but in all honesty the JBL sounds good to me. Besides, I'm 44 now and don't really need a big bass system like I used to have when I was younger

I didn't realize that they had changed that much up on the 14's?
