Entune crashing w/ Bluetooth?

Hey all,

Does anybody else's entune crash with using Bluetooth? Everything's running as it should then black screen and Toyota safety screen appears then back to normal just audio is off.
2k14 entune (no plus/jbl)

Any thoughts?

 

Yes, I had the same issue with mine. I have a Samsung Galaxy s4 and everytime I would get a TXT message and sometimes during hands free calls. My Entune Stereo head would crash. Just black screen and even the stereo would die. I went to the local Toyota dealer and they advised they had a flash to update the stereo. Drove off, received another Txt and it crashed again. So I eventually deleted all of my Txt messages and everything started working. If I were to guess, when my phone syncs with the Entune stereo, it uploads all of the TXT into memory. I have lots of pics on several of my TXT messages and I wonder if that starved the kernel memory of the Entune device. Causing a crash of the Entune OS. I am not sure if that is your issue. But it might help someone.

 

I am having this issue. So should I go to the dealership to update the firmware? Thanks.
