Entune& head unit blinked out on me

So,last tuesday night I was driving up rt 24 in Mass homeward. Nav was on, music, tooling along at 10:09pm when suddenly out of nowhere my entire nav system shut down on me. buttons and screen touches were unresponsive.

Happened to be doing 70 so as I started to pull off i saw the damn thing restart.

So, 6 days later I am still finding settings that seem to have been wiped out. For the next two days afterward it had to keep reconnecting and forgetting the bluetooth connection to get it working.

I checked the update area of the nav system and there was no notice of an update waiting or recently installed.


Just curious if anyone has had this happen?

 

Yup! There's a software update to address this problem. Mine did the same thing to me when the truck was less than a month old, did the update and has been fine since.

 

where would I find the update waiting? entune is not telling me there is one (I did have one back in the fall when the truck was about a month old to me)

Thankfully I have never had that occur, does the head unit run updates automatically?

 

it has before for me, it just popped up a message on the touch screen saying that there was an update and if I would allow Entune to use my phone connection....was a short thing.
Bu to have the system drop out while driving....that just irked me (I had a few other words though)

 

software version in there now......is this up to date???




No update history even though I had done an update in the fall:

 

Mine blanks out on me before a service warning pops up, music turns off and the TOYOTA start up screen reappears. It takes a second fore music to come on and then the service screen. Is this update for that?
