I have my Entune home screen set up like the photo. I've added 4 contacts but have since learned, more often than not, I accidentally hit the screen when I adjust the volume, causing my phone to dial the lower-left contact.

I've looked in the owner's manual and searched the interwebs with no luck. Has anyone figured out how to disassociate the contact with that space? If you select/hold, you can replace it with a different contact, but I can't find a way to return it back to an empty slot.

Which Entune model is that? I thought they all had touch screen selections for "Apps" "Audio" etc?

I'm not sure which model is in photo, I borrowed a screenshot from a youtube video I found rather than having to black-out my contacts. I have the Entune Premium (non-JBL).

Just press the gear on the top right of the screen, choose home screen and put something else in the lower left position

I thought of that too, but it's convenient to have my wife's and daughter's numbers right there. Until I figure out how to get rid of the numbers associated with the bottom two slots, I put my own number/voicemail in those. Worst case, I take it back to factory defaults as 8102 suggested. The good thing is I haven't been using it for so long I'm locked into my set-up.

Solution: don't use that volume control, use the one on the steering wheel.

I would just swap sides with the navigation. Its not that inconvenient to reach 3 more inches to hit a contact.

I have found myself doing that as well once in a while. My fix is to hit the audio button and only go to the home screen when needed. This way a fat finger mishap only changes the radio station. Work for me

just put a meaningless contact in there. Like no phone number and a name of 'Empty'. If it demands a number, put '3' or something. Not elegant, but seems like it would work.

personally on the 4runner, I just leave it on audio and switch to home as needed.

or better yet use the voice commands to direct dial a person.

That may be the solution I use too. I rarely use the nav system and thankfully don't make many calls on the road either. But, you'd think they'd have provided a way to remove the contact. For now, I've just added my voicemail number so I'll only ever accidentally call VM.

Just an FYI, I scoured the Entune system manual included with the vehicle and didn't find ANYTHING about removing the contacts associated with those home screen quick access buttons. I did delete my personal information (pg 61 of the Nav & Multimedia System Owner's Manual) and that did resolve the "problem". Just had to re-add and re-sync my phone and reset my radio presets and I was back in business without the quick access contacts on the outside two slots.

I have the solution because I did it by accident. Remove your phone from Settings and then re-add it.

Cool! I'm guessing your method didn't require you to re-add your radio presets or any of the personalized settings to apps or nav? Just re-add and re-sync your phone and you're all set again?

Yepp. Everything else remains the same.

And I only did that to mine because it stopped reading my text messages. Which was a feature I was enjoying. And that was fixed also.

Good to know, thanks for the input! Resetting radio presets is a pain in the arse.

Holy thread resurrection! Not sure what to tell you. I probably haven't touched anything having to do with my phone connectivity to the Taco since this thread. Maybe someone who's had this issue more recently will come along and offer a suggestion.
