I'm almost wondering if it's maybe some internal hardware (bluetooth antenna?) or possibly some firmware within the nav which goes corrupt after some time which is causing this issue to happen. It's really odd either way. I'm using an HTC One for Sprint, and up until this point it was working great.. now, good luck if I have even want to use bluetooth in the slightest bit.

My BT connection was rock solid for the first year basically of ownership up until now, I'm having more and more frequent disconnections. My unit was operating perfectly up until now.

Bingo, I did this this morning while in the parking lot, ya I just changed the state to Nevada then back to California and it blanked out the Zip. I was then able to enter in just the city, or street. Ill try the voice commands, that might be my best bet.

I hate the voice controls. They suck the big one.

Windows need to be shut people have to shut up.

And if its a good day it might work. Maybe its just mine but it sucks.

Some people (myself included) have been suffering through random Bluetooth drops. It seems to be more common as the age of this unit progresses. In my own case I was suffering through total Bluetooth drops that would totally turn off Bluetooth function on the headunit but would still display connection on the phone. I was informed by a potential issue by Toyota entune support which seems to be a common yet unspoken of issue which actually WAS my problem. Bluetooth functions wonderfully now which in turn restores the overall function of the headunit.

The fix involves removing the headunit and tightening up some bolts on the circuitboard of the Bluetooth control unit. I will be making a write up documenting what is done and how it is done. People need to know about this!

Question, have you tried updating to the 2.1.0 software yet?

You will in time. Now whether or not mine was sped up by excessive jarring and bumps from off-road wheeling I do not know, however, it's an odd problem that I never came across.

I also have not run into that issue, had the truck for a year and I am running the latest Entune update.

I don't know if I'm totally losing bluetooth connection though. Mine seems to only affect Entune. Not that I talk on the phone all that much, but it doesn't usually drop any calls. I'll check out your fix though and might give it a try. I do get random "check antenna" messages that pop-up. I always assumed it was my satellite antenna.

I have never seen a "check antenna" for satellite radio. If it is indeed your satellite antenna though, that is going to be the blue connector located behind the actual entune stereo on the upper right hand side. I don't see how it could be though because those are some solid and beefy connections in the unit. Those who want to argue that I am wrong due to this picture floating around are wrong:

    IMG_0620_ce790b94abe61ec1d48b51367264d8b7c71c2a8b.jpg

I pulled apart the stereo yesterday and confirmed that the blue connector is indeed the XM antenna, there underneath a cover after you pull off over 21 screws it clearly has a label on it which says "XM."

You know what? I never received my damn USB and called them about it three times. Any point in getting it? Did it ever open up any other apps to make entune better. I just use it for phone connection and I listen to satellite radio.

Check the settings page and if your running Entune 2.1.0 you are fine. If not then you need to get the USB or go to the dealer. The previous version was complete crap compared to the update.

You should be able to. I've only done one update and am on the most current version for 2012.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have random bluetooth drops and Pandora doesn't work at all with my Note 2. Downloading the update that was posted on here and going to give it a shot. A few posts up someone stated that the last version was complete crap compared to 2.1 so I am looking forward to the update lol

I still have random drops with my Galaxy S3 but I think it's less often. The Pandora sound quality was much better on the newer version though from what I remember.

Make sure whatever thumb drive you put it on is formatted to FAT32 or the system won't recognize it when you plug it in.

    Update done. That was easy.

    Final question..

Do I need to have a subscription with Pandora through Toyota in order to use it? It says I need to subscribe to have that feature. I have Pandora trial on my phone and it won't connect to it via bluetooth. Appreciate any input

Edit: Found out I needed to go on MyEntune and link them together.
