I have the 2014 premium audio package in my Tacoma. There must be some difference in this package. I find the sound to be as loud as I need it and the quality of the sound is excellent. I have the premium Mark Levinson system in my Lexus. While the Tacoma audio is not the same quality (for a lot of reasons) it comes darn close. Happy customer with the audio here!

I fall in line with most here. My Entune Audio Plus sounds like ASS!!! I have to turn it way up to hear it well while driving and it sounds muddy at best.

He's gotta be an Iphone owner as well. He doesn't read, just does what everyone tells him to do. :D

Edit: My Note 2 and JBL Entune work great with each other. Really happy with the stock setup.

Interesting. I went into the Toyota website to see if there was some difference in the speakers between the Premium and Plus Entune systems. I don't see any. It looks to me that the app suite is the main difference. It would be interesting to have two trucks side by side, tune to the same music, and compare the sound differences. As I mentioned, I am quite happy with mine.

Not sure about 2014 but for 2013 and earlier you could get the JBL package. It sounds awesome and has upgraded speakers.

About $600 installed, but I knew someone who knew the owner of the place I used. Car toys quoted about $900. You could buy all the stuff for about $500 through ebay.

There's nothing new, just fixes some bugs. I installed it this morning, everything still looks exactly the same.

Anyone have the issue of the USB port not working/seeing iPod/iPhone 4s source? But still charges. USB/ iPod no longer source option (usb) grey'd out when plugged in.

That's the issue I'm having. Toyotacare said take to dealer.....not wanting to do that unless the USB port gone bad is the true culprit.

    Update 3.1

Edit: Finally got the system to recognize the USB/iPod source. iPhone recently updated to iOS7.x and I believe that was creating the 'accessory does not work with this iPhone' issue (after trying multiple Apple brand cables). I restored the phone and then restored personal settings and data from back up. Deleted all parings on both Entune and Phone, disabled bluetooth on iPhone, then plugged into USB on truck with iPhone off, started truck, booted phone, and it now saw the USB source. Also, make sure to select "Dock Connector" from the AirPlay option. I then paired the phone again and setup all of the settings. Back to normal functioning with either Bluetooth or USB as a source.

Thusfar, two qualms with the entune specifically.

First, Pandora suddenly stop displaying on my head unit. In an attempt to fix this, I tried installing the Entune app, and hopefully update things... unfortunately, Entune doesn't recognize my VIN. I guess I'm calling support tomorrow.

    2013 Entune w/ Nav.

    Running ver. 3.1

While on "Bluetooth Audio" and actually using the Pandora App on the phone rather than on the Nav unit itself, the audio disconnects causing the sound to start playing from my cell phone itself. Having to REselect the "Source" on the head unit and it connects again. Didn't have this issue before..

Oh and also, phone call volume is extremely low now. I have to turn the phone call volume up to 46+ to hear the other side now...

I just installed this yesterday and it worked great, it's a bit faster with this on my 2012 with Nav, ipod loads quicker and goes to the next song faster, big improvement. Also my Pandora did not cut out on my drive to and from work which it would do before the update, so far very pleased thank you again for sharing this!

Haven't seen this issue mentioned here, but if I overlooked it, please let me know...

    My stuff:
2014 Tacoma, Entune Premium Audio with Navi (EE package).
iPhone 5 with latest iOS7 version.

So far everything Entune I've tried has worked. I installed the app on my phone, set up my Entune account via the website, logged in on my phone, paired the phone and the truck. Here's my issue...

I get in the truck, turn on Pandora via the head unit, it starts playing. Awesome. I plug my phone into the USB jack to charge and I get a message saying that Entune Suite is not available while the Apple product is plugged in via USB. While the behavior is consistent, it's still ass-backwards to me. Anyone else notice this issue? Other than playing Pandora on the phone and routing to "Bluetooth Audio" on the head unit, has someone found a way to charge their iPhone and use Pandora on the head unit at the same time?
