Does this update do anything to allow more than 1000 contacts to be loaded from smartphone?

How come other models such as tundra can play dvds but tacoma won't?

 

... ^^^ ... Thanks for posting this. I just received almost the same letter because I let the Sirius radio (in my "traded in" Tacoma) expire.

Also, the Filipino reps will automatically give you 50% off if you want to renew for a year and you save the "every time 6 month renewal hassle". The difference is about $35.00 on an annual basis.

Next time I will push for $50.00 on a annual basis (12 months in a row) but I don't think I can get that one.

When Sirius-XM gives you the "6 month deals" ... they are betting that you will let forget the "expiration/renewal date" and it will then renew at FULL PRICE.

2894...I am in sales and I've been using Outlook since 1997. Entune loads the first 1000 contacts only, alphabetically by last name. For me, that's only into the "H's"...very frustrating.

I was messing around with the XM radio the other day and was trying to scan all the channels. Come to find out you can only scan by genre or your presets, is this correct? Please someone tell me I am missing something. This would be a HUGE fail IMO.

Thats why i have a reminder in my phone to go off like hell when it gets near it

I just use the tune knob if i know what station i want..if i have mine on my preset, i just turn the knob and it changes by channel number

Also, not 100% positive..but i think they changed the line up to match it by genre..so channels 1-10 are jazz...11-20 are rap..21-30 are country...(not true on channel numbers..just for reference)

 

Has anybody else noticed that the email and text options work now? The system will now read my emails but only let me know when a new text is recieved. I wish it would read the texts, but it looks like it is improving.

 

For my android wirelessly. Has anybody found a way to use yahoo mail with the Accounts section of an android? If I use the app it works fine from my phone, but since it's not in the accounts it dosent register on the car. It changed recently and dosen't work like it used to.

 

My entune still drops my internet signal with my android phone with the new update. I do not know if it is the phone or the radio

Droid X, it seems like the system only reads the first line of the email.

 

Email/Calendar does not work for the iPhone guys, it is compatible with some other phones though. I can confirm that text notifications appear with iOS6 beta 3, but it will need to be polished by toyota. Right now a generic message "New Text Message" appears on the screen. Again this is only with iOS 6 that contains the new bluetooth message protocol

 

Just curious how Toyota shipped the USB stick to everyone. Was it USPS, FedEx, UPS? I have yet to receive mine and have called and emailed Toyota. They stated they've sent me 2 already and neither has arrived at my house. They're now trying to figure out another way to send it and require a signature on delivery.

 

both of mine arrived us mail. Would it be possible to have them send it to a work address?

The quote above has the two files you need to update your Entune. Just follow his directions and you wont need to worry about that hassle

 

I also haven't received mine. I got an email from Toyota a few weeks ago asking me to update my address, so I called and did so. They said they expect them all to be shipped out by the end of August...I'm still waiting...(I know I can pull those files down, but then I have to find a blank flash drive somewhere)

 

I know the files are out there and I could easily use them, but I don't want to give Toyota a pass for not providing me what I've paid for. It's really not a hassle to email Toyota.

I got that email back in July and also called the same day. They told me it would be sent out "shortly"...whatever that means. I've been emailing back and forth and they've been very responsive. The customer service rep is trying to get approval to ship mine UPS since the previous 2 attempts have failed.

 

Hey guys, quick question. When streaming music via Bluetooth the song titles, tracks and other information are not displayed. I am on an HTC Incredible. Is track information only shown when using the USB cable?
