So aside from switching phones does anyone on an Android device have any input?

My andriod has no real issues. I think it is the entune that drops the internet or if your phone is locked at the time of starting your truck there may be an issue. I have a galaxy note

I followed these instruction but it doesn't do anything. I checked my software version and I have the 1.8.4. I used a blank thumb drive, guess I could try formatting it.

I just picked up my 12 last weekend and it didn't have the update. I'm surprised that, the dealer didn't update it prior to delivery. I used the files off this thread and updated this morning.

BJ, make sure that the ISO and txt files are not in a folder on the USB drive. They need to bee in the root directory of the thumb drive I believe.

It worked after I re-formated the thumb drive and put them back on. Not sure what was going on the first time I tried it. Definitely weren't in a folder. All good now though.

Sorry for the remedial question here, but how do I get the text file to download onto my thumb drive? the ISO downloads when I click on it while the text file opens up into a new window. Do I copy paste the text? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Right click on the link, then go to "save target as". Choose your thumb drive.

I ended up going to the dealership for the update a month ago. The guy that did the update for me informed me that all future updates will be done via Bluetooth thru our phones. No longer will we need thumb drives for updates, thought that was pretty cool.

I use android and I can't sync e-mails either. All I get for text messages is a box that pops up on the screen saying I have a new message. Doesn't actually show the message. Pretty lame, i just turned it off since that's all it does. I can hear the notification, don't need a message telling me what I just heard.

I thought all I got was the text box saying "new text" as well but if you press the phone button then press the screen where it says messages, the system will read you the text message. The system used to also read the first line of new emails too which wasn't very helpful because the first line was usually something stupid like "customer" and thats all it would say which would make the email service crap since there is no way I can tell who sent the email or what it entailed unless I checked my phone which is stupid. The text option is a little better since it will read the entire text.

Thanks for the info. I'll check that out. Doesn't seem much "safer" than just picking up the phone though.
