24 hours of no reboots, so I’m cautiously optimistic. :fingerscrossed:
The only noticeable quirk is the caller ID image is my father-in-law for all calls incoming and outgoing.

    Actions taken:
    1. Removed the phone from the head unit. (Delete Device)
    2. Removed the head unit from the phone. (Forget Device)
    3. Toyota service performed a hard reset and updated the head unit to the latest firmware v01019D.
    4. Paired the iPhone to the head unit but only syncing Recents & Favorites.

FYSA: The iPhone is connecting via Bluetooth for calling and via USB for streaming/music/charging.

If it starts acting up again, I’ll update with further action.

Re-tested yesterday morning. Tested both plugged in and unplugged/Bluetooth. Tested using Pandora streaming wireless and wired, using Apple Music (local music, no data connection) wireless and wired, then made phone calls during the audio streams to try to recreate the reboot. No issues presented. Looks good for now!

Well guys, this is my latest. I tried to disconnect the blue tooth from my IPhone. I disconnected the phone on my radio. I re-paired everything up, still had the problem. Well, what I did afterwards was I went and traded the truck in for a 2019 TRD Pro Voodoo Blue. I re-paired the phone and still had the same problem. I called the dealership and I told them it needs the latest firmware update on the radio. I have to bring back to the to transfer my Viper Smart start with GPS tracking and my new inspection sticker. I will just have the newer firmware installed at the same time. I hope that works.

I will be going to the dealership the beginning of next week for hopefully, the latest firmware update for the radio. As bad as this sounds, we might have to call Apple tech support and go back to IOS 12. I think it's a pain in the a@# but it might be what we have to do until Toyota comes up with a better updated firmware.

Again, sorry but I will, keep you all updated.

Just to let all know that the reboot issue is not only with iOS. I have the same reboot issue with an HTC android OS connected via Bluetooth.

History for those who want to read more:rofl: :
Dealer asked me to record the issue, I told them that I'll not be able to do so because I 'll be exposed to get a police ticket for using cellphone wile driving. This issue should be known by Toyota at this point. Mine have 3 months now and it is doing the issue since new. As of today I can tell that it happened to me more than 20 times only during calls. At first, dealer replaced the battery (which was leaking acid) but it wasn't the issue. It seems to be a glitch in Entune coding. I saw two YouTube videos from 2017 or 2016 that shown the reboot issue.

I check on NHTSA.gov and there is no complaint regarding this issue. I suggest you all to make the complaint in your respective model. Here is the link for the 2019 Taco.

After rebooting like 100 times. A miracle happened and it stop doing this. I can make calls play music and hasn’t done it in months. But there’s definitely an issue that needs to be addressed.

Yes, at least for me. There is a Service Bulletin that dealer should update firmware to address this issue. It's being more than 10mo. with the updated firmware and I have had no issues again. Here the details: T-SB-0279-17 Rev 2 update installed at the dealer at no cost.

Hi everyone I got the T-SB-0279-17 Rev 2 update installed at the dealer on July 2019 at no cost and the issue seems to be solved. Wish it may help you all. It's been around 9-10 months and I have no rebooting issue.

Hmm well it’s only covered for 3yr/36k miles. So being I’m a 2015 they want 67$ for this. Seems outrageous that it’s not some update I can do from home.
