Entune Nav Map Card

I ordered my new SD card from Amazon ($22) with 2019 data. Of course NOW they have the 2020 data SD card! In all of the videos I saw of opening the access cover showed a notch to open it and it folding "down". For my 2016 there was no notch and it folded out to the right. I didn't want to scratch it I cut off part of plastic packaging (I actually cut off the top of a screw container that had the hole to hang it in the store). Opened easily without a scratch. Software install took about 5 minute after I started the truck and worked like a charm.

 

That’s the exact one I got, it claims to be genuine Toyota and worked fine for me.

 

Looks like there are people stating the 2020 cards being sold on Amazon actually contain data from 4/19.

 

So much easier than dealing with Toyota nav.
Even at the price of a single airport libation, the update card is throwing good money after bad for me..

my son used to work at carmax. they used to buy the new cards on eBay to update the cars in inventory worked well for them

 

you can view the google map on the head unit too. i don't see the point of the outdated, overpriced, navigation suite. waze works too.

 

My head unit does not support car play like the newer ones. 2018 TRD

I'm updating my 2019. Of course I use Google Maps most of the time (no CarPlay) but my truck belches 25 bucks in gas every week so its an insignificant cost to update the maps every few years.

Thanks ... I ordered it. I don't use Nav a lot, but that card works in my 4Runner too.

 

I bought one from Amazon a couple of years ago and after 6 months it caused my phone to stop communicating with the truck amongst other issues. It took me a while to figure out it was the nav card. Since then I've bought from the GPS Update Store...no more issues.

Me too. Ordered one because of this revived thread. Got it Saturday and installed immediately, no issues. Maps went from 4/2017 to 4/2021. All good!

 

I just ordered my update from the GPS Update Store. Checked out Amazon and after reading all the info I felt more comfortable ordering from the Update Store. Know it was a little more money but thought it was worth it. Thanks for the info.
