The factory Entune navigation has saved me a few times from being lost in the woods on fire roads in Washington and Oregon. The service road numbers are actually on the Toyota navigation and not on Google maps with my phone. So far I've been pretty happy with the factory Navigation.. it could use an update at this point and I think the customer has to pay for it.

I don't like factory navigation units because I find them clumsy, especially with as convoluted as the factory HU gets as it is. I have to press a few buttons just to back out of toggling the day brightness mode for when it is raining and the damn thing goes to night mode with my headlights on, and then toggle it back to night mode when I am night driving since it is brighter than I'd like.

Short summary: factory HU touchscreen is more of the gimmick than a solid HU. Nav is unsurprisingly subpar to dedicated NAV units. I love my garmin though:)

I wouldn't expect an update from Toyota. They don't seem to support their sound electronic trinkets and doodads too well.

rs9000 with my ride controller. BFG rugged terrain 2012 tread style.
Totally agree! I have a 2015 and plan on trading it in in a few years and will not be paying for that POS. Doesn't tell you what street to turn on just tells you to turn right.
A passenger cant even use it when you are driving RETARDED
