Entune no more?

Everytime I bother to jump through hoops to get the Toyota NAV or Apps to work I then soon realize they are crap and I use my iphone instead. I wish I could just take out my NAV screen entirely. How about a dock to put my iphone into the dash to replace the terribad NAV screen? That would be sweet.

 

I have a 2016 Tacoma and during my trip Entune was upgraded and no longer functioned. Toyota forced me to download the Toyota app and use it to launch Iheart, destinations, Xlive apps. This allowed me to launch the apps but they lose connection constantly and is now a nuisance. Would love to have the previous working app back. It's like Toyota said F TQM and forced a craplet onto me and took away a feature I used alot. Has anyone been able to successfully get the new app to work stable with 2016 model?

 

There is a map update available on E-Bay. You just order the mSD card to ship to a friendly TW member in the US and then forward to you in Canada because the company won't ship to Canada.

 

It's not worth it. It doesn't really change anything. I bought the newest one (at the time) and it was missing roads that have been in place for 5 years and it still doesn't navigate any better. I used to have it navigate while Google maps did the same and it was nonsense. What's the point of running a second NAV just to verify that the other NAV is garbage?

 

Do you have a dashtop mount like this?

 

TBH, I've installed the updated mSD card but have not tested it yet.
