New 19 Tacoma TRD Off Road, and I am trying to find or locate some features I loved on my sync 3 system in my Fiesta ST.

    1. Is there anyway to replay an XM song I want to listen to again? Sync allowed up to 44 minutes of recorded music on a station at a time.

    2. Can I continue to listen to music after I turn off the engine but before I get out of the truck? I know I can kill the engine and radio and then turn aux back on then have to turn it off again when I exit the vehicle.
In my ford the music would keep playing after the engine is off and would then cut off when I open the door. Easy and convenient.

    3. Sync 3 had an alert system on the xm/sirius radio that would allow my to designate songs or artists and when they were playing on different stations, so that I could go to the station and not miss a favorite song. Its a great feature for artist and songs that do not get much airplay. Is there a feature like this on Entune XM Radio?

    Love my truck btw.

The Entune 2.0 system in the '19s isn't terribly feature packed. The 2020s will have new Entune 3.0 systems which should be a decent upgrade, including Car Play and Android Auto.

    To answer your questions:

    1. No rewinding satellite radio, just whatever is currently playing is all you get. Funnily enough you can actually pause and rewind terrestrial stations though.

    2. If you turn off the car but leave it one click from pulling the key out the car should go into accessory mode where the engine is off but you can listen to the radio and a few other things. But if you want to pull the key out then the only way is to turn it off completely which includes the radio. I miss that as well from my old vehicle, it was nice sometimes to let a song play out before getting out of the car.

    3. Nope, nothing even close to that sophisticated on them.

    Thanks for the response.
I paid for the connection of car play in my st but never used it. Too much of a hassle to plug it in, had to be plugged into the center console box. The sync has some nice features.

Mine is push button start. I can turn off truck then push again to turn on aux, or just let music play before I turn off motor. It be nice for it to play till a door is opened.

    Thanks

Yeah everyone is focused on the addition of CP and AA but I'm also wondering if it will get some of the more advanced satellite radio features like rewind and mix. Also heard that remote start can be enabled (with a subscription) on Entune 3.0 systems, so will be interesting to see if that is a possibility on the new models of Tacomas also.

Found out that if I turn off the motor when it’s not in park the music continues the play.
I then need to press it again before I leave. Ie it doesn’t turn off when I open my door. But this is close enough. Haha.

With the push button start, and you want to keep listening to music with the engine off, put it in N (neutral), turn off the engine, then put it in Park. Entune will stay on.
