I did a research and couldn't find anything similar to my issue.
Just picked up a 2016 SR5 with appearance package that says on the sticker window, that has the entune plus with nav app. and Also the sales man was telling me about how my new truck has this feature.
Well finally got the time to try to install it, when I run the vin#, the app says that my vehicle is not equipped with entune app.
Anyone here have this problem before? when something is supposed to be installed per the sticker window and apparently is not?
I'm thinking to get in touch with the sales guy.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Not familiar on this but I know some of the window stickers say "w/navigation" and some say something along the lines of "navigation capable". I'm not sure if it's a subscription service for the latter or not.

Not quite sure what you're asking but you need the Entune Premium package to get built in Navigation. The Entune plus allows you to connect your phone and use a navigation app on your phone thru the Entune system.

Sounds like you have the "standard " Entune Plus, which does not work with the Entune app... However the navigation app ScoutGPS works great! Download it and setup your Bluetooth pairing, and it should load, install, and you are in business. I like it with my SR5...

You have the nav connected systems, which means you don´t have nav built in, but you can connect the Scout GPS app to it.

Just out of curiosity, on these types of apps does the GPS only work with the stereo for giving you audio directions? I am assuming the maps dont show/mirror on the head unit screen?

Actually the map shows on the head unit, you can even input the adress and do different kind of searches from the head unit.

Is this for iPhones or only for Android items? I just downloaded the app and can't get the maps to show on my head unit (granted I Have the built in GPS but the maps need updating, haha).

The APP Scout Link should give you the option to download it to your system.
I Realized that I was trying to downloading it from the wrong apps (scout and toyota entune)

I have a 32gb flash drive that I copied a couple thousand songs to. The head Unit only recognizing the first 500. I can see the remaining songs via browse but they will not play. Anyone have a fix for this??

Do you have all 2000 songs in one folder or in root?

That's the problem. There's only a limited number of files that Entune can use in a folder or root. Create additional folders and spread out the files, and you should be fine.

SR5 w/Scout and iPhone here. When I start my truck my iPhone ALWAYS has a pop up message saying that Scout is requesting access to my phone. When I click "Allow," it launches the Scout app. Every time. This is very annoying.

I have browsed all of the typical places in my phone to try to PERMANENTLY allow access and stay logged in, but I can't find anything like that anywhere.

Does everyone else have to deal with this annoyance?
