entune question

I have a 2019 tacoma which has the entune system which I have no experience with, traded in a 2004 tacoma, that had a standard radio
I paired my phone , all ok there, but my music is on a ipod, I can pair it and play music , but everytime i get out of the truck and back in , I have to reconnect , not my phone but my ipod , is that normal or should it stay connected?

I assume you connecting both via Bluetooth. You can only have one device connected at a time. I have my wife’s phone and mine setup and hers will connect first if she’s with me. I am thinking hers connects first simply because her phone is newer and has faster Bluetooth. So in your case, your phone may have the stronger Bluetooth

I’ve been trying to figure this out as well, someone correct me if I am wrong or if there is a way to setup a default device

There's one primary and then secondary phones. Your wife's is likely set as the primary which is why hers connects when she's with you and yours when she's not.
