2017 Silver sky tacoma SR I4 4x4

plasti dip emblems, TRD off road wheels, pro clips cell phone mount. 20 percent tint.

I upgraded my SR complete base radio to the entune premium radio. I bought it from a forum member here. Everything worked except at night the left side buttons dont light up (dim) like the right side does when you turn on your headlights. Is this normal because i had a base SR or is the unit possibly damaged? Note the screen was warped and frame was bent so i think this unit was dropped. See pics. Also note the nob light isnt working nor the CD light indicator either. So all lights on the left side dont dim when headlights turn on.
