    I recently purchased a 2020 Off-Road with the standard radio (non-Nav and Non-JBL). I found a
TOYOTA TACOMA 3rd Gen GPS NAV RADIO ENTUNE PREMIUM HEAD UNIT for a reasonable price and was wondering if it would be compatible with the 2020. The radio Model No. is: 86100-04181.
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!

Don't do this, you already have a good radio, carplay> Toyota GPS. Plus it won't work the connections for the earlier 3rd gen radios are different

I think the 2020 plugs are slightly different. You would need to stay with a 2020 Premium. If you can, Look at the sticker on the back of the HU. It has a date on it.

The date on the back of the unit says manufactured June 2017. Thanks!

It fits and would work. BUT the wiring harness is different and “to my knowledge” no one makes an adapter harness. So while doable, you’ll be doing a ton of research to make your own harness and sourcing connectors.

Thanks all! With that knowledge, I'll leave well-enough alone. I don't want to get into a rewiring debacle.

I would guess that they also have a different Comms Protocol. You may be able to get it to work with some wiring ingenuity. But no steering wheel controls or dash display. Just a thought.
