I have a tacoma 2019 with the basic entune radio. Is it replaceable with a radio from a 2020 model that has more apps/ options?

It’s my understanding that you can upgrade but make sure you get the navigation module or something like that.

No. It's not impossible, but it's not plug and play either. The wiring harness (and consequently, the head unit connections) changes between model years 2019 and 2020.

It's both cheaper and easier to wire if you replaced with an aftermarket HU.

You could get a nice aftermarket HU with touch screen and all the features for cheap these days. If you have steering wheel controls you could even get a kit to integrate them.

I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
I would go with an after market one. I'm really not impressed when stock head unit in my 2022, and am eyeballing a Dasaita.

It’s possible, they aren’t cheap and you’d need to buy a harness. It’s co volutes so you need to be very sure you’re buying the correct HU. There’s a guy with active offers in the BST forum with very very misleading descriptions about the units he’s selling

Should mention that it looks easy to do once you have the parts. Probably less than an hour job
