    Hello all,
Proud new owner of a 16 Tacoma TRD off-road. Just got around to setting up the entune audio on the Tacoma. Can pandora only be used with the phones data plan? Also any other apps that can only be used with phone data: Gps, weather, sports, Facebook etc. thanks in advance for the help.

I'm new to Entune also, but I would describe it as a hybrid system. The GPS & weather system operates off of a harddrive or digital signal that Toyota provides. The other applications will operate off of your smart phone via bluetooth. Hope it helps a little, I'm still learning Entune too!

unless you have unlimited data on your phone apps are pretty much useless.

I don't think it uses that much data. My wife and I use Spotify and Pandora all the time and still have room on our data plan. And we're data heavy people. I will say this much. When using the Pandora & Slacker Radio Apps, for whatever reason (probably being filtered through the entune app) the audio quality suffers. Its not as loud or clear as a direct connection with bluetooth.
