So I was driving down the road today like any ole day, had my phone BT'ed to the Entune like everyday, was listening to the radio and was using the nav. All of a sudden the whole screen just goes black and powers off along with the music and BT connectivity. It tried to come back on about two times, it also was unresponsive to the power button when I just tried to turn it off for a moment to give it a second to figure itself out. Finally about after 2min of power cycling itself it came back on and was perfectly normal...? Just a fluke, possibly a bad head unit, just wondering if anyone else has had any probs like this yet. FYI, have the Prem Tech package w/ JBL, no modifications to electrical systems or anything yet, just changed the startup/shutdown background. Thanks, hoping it's just a fluke will definitely have them check it out at my upcoming 5k service.

I had the same problem on my 2014. It was intermittent and the dealer couldn't replicate the problem while it was getting serviced, but I took a video and showed them. They updated the software and it hasn't happened since.

My 2014 was doing the same crap. take to the dealer and TELL, not ask them to update the firmware. Once they did this I haven't had any issues.

Just happened to me. From my experience it looked like a reboot after a firmware upgrade. I would not be concerned if it does it once in a blue moon but only if it does it often. This is the first time it has done it to me since I picked mine up Sept 18th.

The screen on my '15 flashes intermittently and will skip songs by itself.

Happened to me Saturday 6 times. I dropped off at the dealership this afternoon for the famed transmission issues. Told them about the radio while I was there and they said it was no big deal, just needed an update.

I had this happen as well. I was told that these new stereos have SOFTWARE like a computer and sometimes they crash and reboot.

I had mine do an update a while ago and everything has been great since then.

Was at the dealer today cause it happened to me. He asked if I had an IPhone, which I do. He said when u Bluetooth with the system, if your phone has a lot of data such as text messages, email, and other stuff. It overloads and resets. He says there might be software up grades here shortly.

Gotcha cool, thanks all. Yeah I figured it might have been a software update, random freeze/reboot issue. Will definitely have them update the firmware when I bring it in in a few days. I assume that the firmware doesn't update via phone data connection (entune app?) or the HD radio/traffic/wx connection but I guess it would be possible if it wasn't a huge update.

My Bluetooth is finicky at best. Typically I have to turn it off from my phone and then back on. Or else it slips like crazy.

A lot of Bluetooth issues are from the phone. Always make sure atleast once a week your doing a hard reset on your phone. Phones are mini computers now, just like your computer the need to be restarted. Most people think turning there phone of performs this function, that's not true. If you phone has a removable battery, you reset it by pulling the battery for a minute. Other phones that you can't get to the battery read how to perform a "hard" reset. iPhone you hold power and sleep/wake button for 10 seconds or so.

I've put 4000 miles on mine and this weekend heading 250 miles to the dunes pulling a trailer mine blacked out and rebooted 3 times within 20 miles or so, coming home it didn't reboot once. My service is approaching so I'll mention it when I go. Today I experienced a weird idle rpm drop, so I'll mention that too along with the too ticky ticky tick engine.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Mine drops BT when I am on a call and will not reconnect. Tried hard reset on iPhone 6, hard reset on taco radio, etc. strange.
