After market and sell the stock one. I went with a Pioneer unit with Android Auto, Maestro, and a front mounted camera. Cost me around $200 after selling my stock unit.

I hope you are kidding. It is wishfull thinking that any court would recognize an End Users's acceptance of a License agreement that was not presented on the device that is specifically licensed with the software that hosts the licensed software.

"I never clicked on the Microsoft EULA".

"Oh we posted it online and on the mini fridge your cousin's sister's boss's step grand child told you about. It's binding trust me. "

    You aren't even trying

I don’t have the same problems as OP or others do with nav and the other features of it, but some people want to watch Youtube and Netflix while they drive, so that’s why they don’t like it.

I have a 2010 Tundra 4x4 limited, a 2013 Lexus F Sport as well as my 2018 Tacoma and the head units it all three suck ass. Navigating through the menus is clumsy at best and the navigation and maps features absolutley suck. But I tend to be a bit lenient on this since they do make the most dependable and overall best vehicles on the market. Took a ride in my neighbor's new Subaru and the navigation in that thing was killer. It was as if the engineers actually used this themselves and implemented features that were driver friendly and were well laid out and very intuitive. Why Toyota can't seem to get this right is beyond me, maybe it's just not that important and their focus is on things that make a vehicle last for half a million miles instead.

The Nav has worked fine for me the times I used it. I was a little disappointed when they dropped the Pandora app, but lately I just bluetooth Amazon Prime Music. The weather app works well enough for my needs, I usually check the weather app on my refrigerator before I leave the house anyway.
The voice recognition was glitchy at first, but then I went through the voice training a second time and it works great now.
Yea, I don't need to watch videos while driving, I can do that at work :D.

Ever evolving tech, always something better out there.
I used to be the guy that had to get a new mobile phone nearly every year. I'm old now, and have accepted there's always the new gadget, and don't upgrade until there's a better deal.

Sell your a Tacoma and buy something with a better head unit if it bothers you that much. Or swap it out with an aftermarket unit. You can either keep whining about it, or strap on the big boys pants.

Android auto and car play are better than entune sure but they're still garbage. Just use the far superior smartphone sitting in the cupholder

I have the non JBL low tech entune system in my truck and love the fuck out of it.

I can play CD's with MP3's on it if I wanted to or put in a flash drive with up to 9,999 songs.

Hook it to my phone and play the tunes off it, and use google maps if I need GPS.

I had a Pioneer stereo in my 2000 TJ and thought it was the shit because it would play MP3 CD's. I could also plug my phone into it with a cable and use the GPS, but couldn't listen to tunes at the same time.

OP, don't let the "feel differently" crowd convince you that you have no options.

Can you sue? Not practically, but that does not mean you have no recourse.

Some people are ok with paying a premium price for what Toyota claimed was a premium solution.

Some recognize that Toyota abandoned their premium claims and intentionally did not disclose their intent to do so before selling vehicles.

If you understand their goal is to avoid compensating everyone, and only compensate those who make a claim that they

    1. Mislead intentionally.
    2. Cause quantifiable loss.
    3. Affects price and value.

I actually really like the nav in my truck (2017) and have found the voice recognition to be spot on. I honestly do not understand all the complaints about it.

I haven't had any issues with the nav in my 18 either. It's gotten me everywhere I have asked it to take me.

What idiot paid for a stock radio? And you must’ve sold it for at least 400 for it to only be 200 at the end
