So yesterday my entune received an update while driving. I updated it and either I'm going crazy but it looks like my backup camera looks 10x cleaner with better colors.

I know you can change those settings on the head unit, but maybe Toyota decided to push a better set of defaults???

Has anyone's head unit updated recently? I'll post the software versions next time I have a chance.

Mine updated yesterday as well. I haven't noticed any changes, but I wonder what the update entailed.

I don't have the Entune system, but once a week or so I will give a quick wipe to the camera and it always is much clearer after that.

Does the Entune system update automatically... I haven't seen any messages or notices.... I checked for the system update manually, but none was available and "Update History" shows no updates.

The new update has a great feature where it shits itself and gets into a reboot cycle - every 5 minutes for no apparent reason while just listening to am radio. I got it to stay alive for 10 minutes when I unplugged my cell phone.

Its shitting itself because it cant believe someone in 2016 still listens to AM.

    JK, hope it gets resolved.

I doubt a software update could affect the performance of the camera (hardware).

I have a camera that when I updated the firmware, the video option went from 1080P to 2.7K and added colorization options. Digital cameras are software driven and their performance goes way beyond the lens.

I'm very curious as to how the new software gets from the Internet into the truck (2007 owner and 2016 stalker here)... was it bluetoothed or cabled from your phone?

Mine updated and the yellow triangle "!" symbol on the dash appeared as soon as the update was complete.

Going to take it in to the dealer next week...

I got the update this morning and my drive to work was okay (listening to FM radio and then music on a flash drive). Then when I was listing to XM radio this afternoon during a quick drive out to lunch and then back, it started with the random reboots. Already talked to Toyota's 800 numbers...talk about useless.

And I have an appointment at the dealership on Tuesday but I was hoping to find a restore or rollback or something to fix it so I don't have wait for an appointment where they'll probable tell me they cannot reproduce it.

Any ideas out there? Pull the battery? Pull a fuse? Get a bunch of friends to stand around my truck in robes and chant?

I thought it was just me and that I washed the truck this past weekend but yes the video feed looks way better recently.
