The 2012 Entune units just suck. I wish I had the newer 2014 models. They seem to be much better made and updated to the times.

I got the 2013, guess I'm in the middle and I can say it half sucks, not full sucks.

Don't get me wrong. I have something close to 15 gigs of music on a thumb drive that the unit reads off of. That is quick, but as far as the Entune portion of it is concerned, a flaming pile of hammered dog shit.

I am picking up a 2013 tomorrow. So the 2013 Entune / JBL / Nav is different than both the 2012 and the 2014+?

So I'm guessing we can't update ours? I got an email and tried updating it using a USB thumb drive but nothing happened.

Same for me, I got the update automatically when I started my truck on the morning of the 20th.

I didn't get any email though... How would they get my email address to notify me of this type of thing?

    2014 Entune with Nav here.

I read over the Entune manual for my 2013 (that I just got yesterday) but it doesn't really do much for distinguishing between the non JBL system and the premium nav and JBL system (which is what I have).

What I am curious about is the requirement for the iPhone to be connected via USB for the Entune apps to work. From the manual, it appears that's only an iPhone requirement. Is this so? It is not convenient to have to plug the phone in.

I did notice however that even without the Entune apps , the system displays info from the phone when using Pandora or iHeart radio through native BT streaming

What is the current update software version?

That's because your stereo gets its data over the air from Sirius I believe in order to run Entune. Yours does not require your phones data connection like ours.

does this mean they get traffic on the map without having to be plugged into their phone and the Entune app running? If so I'm finding a 2015 HU right now.

No email received. Just did my '13 (with JBL and Nav) via USB. . The nav remains worthless, but the rest works okay.

    I believe so yes.

You may want to double confirm but if I remember correctly, those headunits need zero data from your phone in order to access internet. The kicker is you must pay for Sirius if you want to retain your navs ability to access the net.

Member FLTrucks sells HU's with Nav with the Entune Premium App Suite. That's where I got my unit from. Had it on my 08 and now on my 15. Everything pretty much works flawless, NAV, Apps etc. Only down size is that inaccurate pos weather/temp read out. Other then that I like it. Now to go and update mine.

Yeah I've seen his thread but isn't he only selling the '14 models? Haven't looked at that thread for a while.

...but can anyone confirm that the 2015 units don't need the phone connected to display traffic?
