Some are less than enthusiastic about the features and benefits of this system.

From my experience, I don't understand why. I've had very few problems with mine.

Of course, my expectations going into it were "I hope it works" as opposed to the tragically common "I hope it works exactly like I think a product like this should work if I were the engineer that designed it"

from what I've seen, no real difference other than adding the new apps and cleaning out some old placeholders for apps that never got implemented or were for features my phone didn't support. and unfortunately they did NOT add a way for 2013 models to change the startup image like on the '14.

I like my Entune well enough. Except the Navigation and the washed out screen in bright sunlight. Version 5.1.0 doesn't fix any of that.

I purchased my 2013 JBL unit used so I wouldn't have been notified.
Where do you download the upgrade for a USB install?

Yeah, not much help. They should have put something like this in place:
I'll just keep using my Garmin Nuvi.

Does anything in this thread apply to my 2012 Entune Navi JBL setup?

Doesn't specify year on the download site. Worked on my '13. Probably fine, but what do I know?

Ok, so I've never heard of Slacker Radio before, been used to Iheart Radio for a long time now. Got the HU updated, linked up Slacker Radio to the Entune app. Everything works fine. Slacker Radio seems to be more refine and has better feature then Iheart Radio.

One thing that I still notice is that with your phone hooked up via USB cable, the Entune app won't connect to the HU. I was hoping this update would address that issue, but it ain't a deal breaker.
