Entune weather

I have a 2016 Tacoma with premium audio with navigation. The weather app has worked great for 2 1/2 years. Recently it has stopped working completely. I get message that says No HD signal available please try later. This has been going on for about 2 weeks. I’ve got no help from the dealership. Any ideas?

 

Did the hd radio get turned off in the radio settings some how?

 

Mine is doing the same thing.... just started in the last two weeks

 

I went through my entune.com and got my pandora and text messaging working just by re linking again but can’t figure out the weather—- bugs the crap out of me

 

I’ve checked everything I can think off, and yes HD is turned on.

 

I was confused with mine for awhile. It is because there is no HD FM radio signal near you. Once you drive near one the HD logo appears on the screen and if you check your weather it will be there. Not all radio stations are putting out an HD signal. Depends where you live.

 

I live in Northern Illinois, it has worked everyday for the last 2 1/2 years until about 2 weeks ago. Several HD stations in area.

 

Is there an on or off somewhere

 

I have the same thing happen to me every time I visit family in central Washington. I live in western WA. and don't have an issue.
Unless you count the one time my navigation said that I was in a different county, several hundred miles away.

 

If you tap "radio" in the top corner of the screen it shows some settings for the radio. I found that by accident and never knew it was there before

 

Those of you having issues, did the head unit update recently? I remember reading about an update for entune on here. My 18 hadn't been updated, it's still working fine.

 

Yessir.... mine updated about the same time I lost weather

 

I bet it's related..

 

Can you remove an update and go back to an earlier version?

 

Rolling back would be really difficult if it's anything like phone's. I'm guessing no. Probably the only option is Toyota sending out another update with it fixed.

 

I’m not sure Toyota is even aware there is a problem. I took it to the dealership (still under warranty) and told them that it has worked perfectly for 2-1/2 years.and they told me they didn’t even know we got the weather in this area. They were no help at all.

 

I think emails to corporate is probably the best way get them the info. The more that do, the higher the priority I'm guessing.

 

How do you get the weather App?

 

It’s on there. Comes stock.

 

I have had my Tacoma for 2 and a half years with no problem with the weather app. Here may be a couple of reasons why:
1. I will not let my dealer update the head unit. I figure if it ain't broke don't try to fix it
2. Never had the Entune app on my phone.
3. Set the head unit so it can not download data through my phone
4. Have an older Galaxy S5 and will not get a newer phone until it breaks because it pairs and has works flawlessly every time I get in the truck.
