Pioneer indash navigation unit, Illuminated 4x4 switch, HID heads and fogs. Black leatherette GT seat covers. toytec Ultimate lift. Now its time to mod exterior.
Id pass because even if the features are rich the sound will still suck.
I got the x930bt from pioneer it rocks and even made the stock speakers sound awesome. It even reads aloud all the facebook posts from friends. For 649 it cant be beat.

    ^^^^^^^^THIS

NEVER. I would not own a nav system i could not use while driving. Nor would I pay $2000 for what comes stock on a Ford. There is no need to pay for a NAV system Garmin works better and is a lot less expensive and can be moved. Aftermarket electronics are better and far less expensive

Plus I have all that on my Phone anyway which is already synced with my Kenwood..which has a Parrot BT system FAR better than Toyota's crap BT

    Me personally...NO

    Will the general consumer...Probably.

Personally, I would rather have an aftermarket unit.

[IMG]I would for sure get this. Already want a kenwood in my 2008. The Factory indash nav is great It's about time the tacoma gets one. Of Course I want to hear more about it but I would add a few more bucks to the monthly payment for this.

does an aftermarket radio support some of the built in options like gas mileage and tire pressure?

    From the hoses mouth:

Hi Travis, sorry for delay. What follows represents an estimate only and is reflected in today's dollars. Pricing subject to change, etc..you know the drill. With Premium HDD Radio: Apps $5.00 per month OR Data (with SiriusXM) $8.99 per month OR Bundle $13.99 per month. Display Audio (non HDD system): Apps $5.00 per month, Data $5.00 per month, Bundle $10.00 per month. Thank you for your patience^GT

With all my other bills and monthly charges... why add another one for the vehicle. I'll stick to stock radio, and probably always will. I'd take a $100 price tag up front for an external GPS than paying $1000 over a stock radio PLUS $10/mo for the life of the car. Screw that jazz.

I kinda agree, At least you can choose $5 for apps, $5 for Data, or $10 for both. I just wish I knew what the difference with th apps and Data were. I thought they were one in the same. I think the GPS Nav and pandora still work without a paid subscription.

And I quote from the toyota website:
(After three years, an access charge will apply; excluding Pandora®).

    and

TRD Sport Upgrade Package with Additional Options $6,595

    • (EJ) Display Audio with Navigation [5], Entune™ [6] and JBL...
With Navigation tells me the Navigation is seperate then the Entune. This, to me, makes it more resonable but I still agree, after a $6595 upgrade Data and apps should be free.

i never go with the oem nav systems/entune/audio gimicks. For less money you can by a far better aftermarket unit.
