Entunes complete shut down

    Anyone ever experience a complete shut down of their Entune system?

    While driving today it shut down randomly around 6 or 7 times during a 1 hour ride - it would reboot on its own.

    A real PITA and not something expected after only 4,000 miles.

    Taking it into the dealer whenever I get around to it... not expecting too much though.

    I was having the same problem in my previous truck (2016 Sport DCLB) and was going to have it looked at but I ended up trading it in for a DCSB Sport 4x4. Haven't had trouble with this one so far...only a couple of weeks in though.

    One interesting thing to note -- I didn't start seeing a problem until after the dealership installed parking sensors in the front bumper. After that, it seemed like any time the Entune system rebooted, my front sensors lost power as well.

    There are a few threads on the problem. Appears dealer replacement of the radio is the solution.

    Probably best to video the problem before taking it in, because for sure the problem will not show up at the dealer.

    My DCLB was 4x2 and I regretted not getting 4x4, so I traded for one the dealer had coming in which happened to be a DCSB. I probably would have kept the long bed if I could have, but my DCSB is slightly more maneuverable (especially when I have to go to San Francisco) and I haven't had much trouble with fitting everything I need to in the short bed so far (dirt bikes, airsoft gear).

    Did you have USB plugged in as well as Bluetooth connected? That's the only time mine has done it

    I had it happen to me 3 or 4 times within a span of 10 mins and only had my phone connected via Bluetooth. Nothing connected via USB.

    Same thing happened to me, 138 miles. Completely random , 4 or 5 times between 1-2pm eastern time. Black screen, reboot.

    My truck is brand new...just picked it up. Under 100miles. Radio has reset several times the first day I drove it . Reset 4x yesterday in the morning. Bluetooth & usb were not connected only XM. It did not reset later yesterday when I drove it. I didn't drive it today. I will set up my gopro on "loop" & film it to show dealer when I get my running boards installed.

    I've had this with my second gen.
    With the nav running or without it. It usually freezes then resets.

    Ok... I thought I was safe from the 3rd gen bugs but the past 2 two Sundays when I first start the the truck the radio reboots. Nothing different as I only have a car charger plugged in so no clue why its only back to back Sunday. Will have to pop over to the dealership at some point if it keeps doing it.

    What kind of charger? The cheap ones can cause all kinds of issues

    I battled with my dealer before they finally agreed to replace the head unit. It's on order now.

    We went through several phases with Toyota before they finally agreed.
