I tried to glue or super Velcro a mic clip onto the trim and had the same problem. Nothing stuck. Not even epoxy, even after super degreasing. I just gave up though.

I can dig. I thought I was the only one that rested the side of my left leg on the door lol-- but I always revert to trying to avoid doing it because the side of my knee ends up hurting from long drives. I personally wouldn't have drilled into the panels, maybe epoxy some magnets behind the panel and the pad. Does give me some ideas though.

It would look good if it used snaps on the under side to attach.

You could always use some snap caps to cover the screw heads.

I don't know. Form vs. Function. You're going to get some hates from TW, to be sure (but you obviously anticipated that).

As a fellow long torso, "giant little person" (as my bro called me), I dig them functionally. They look comfy.

I'd have to see them in person I guess, to fully judge form. That one looks like it is mad/sad with a pimple on its chin though. I'm not sure if that makes me like it less or more.

Not going to augment resale, but that's probably not your biggest concern, I'll wager.

That’s a pretty good idea. You could paint those screws black, they wouldn’t be so noticeable then.

Won't be reselling. Plus I've got loads of aftermarket stuff done to it already. The bumper is chopped.

I’ve been thinking about this.. I would go little different from OP but basically the same thing... maybe a different shape, more rectangular and with Velcro or double sided tape...
