    i got a 1/2" galvanized pipe. i think it was 32" long.
cut 6 lengths of 3" (4 go in the back holes, 2 in the front rear holes) and 2 lengths of 3.25" (the 2 go in the furthest front 2 holes ((largest angle))

@Patch92 did you weld yours together or bolt? I'm curious how you mounted the side pieces

    All bolt on.
Cut the pipe as shims. Then cut the u brackets. Put the bolt through the u bracket, down through the pipe, and screw into mounting holes on roof. I used a 110mm bolt to reach and have enough bite. Anything shorter I feel won't grab enough. Let me know if you want more info / pics

Just figure out what size you need and I can cut you a piece big enough, have plenty. Got a whole sheet for my rack and other projects. Come pick it up or pay shipping I guess.

I just painted it last night. I have all the brackets and tubing made. Have to bolt it after I put another coat of paint on it to see what design I want on the side and front of it!. I'll post a picture once I get it painted and mounted!

First picture you can see the pipe that was cut (3"). This goes through the weather strip and on top of the truck where the hole is in the roof.
    image.jpg
Second picture you can see from above where the bolt goes through the left side of the U bracket, through the rack frame, through the right side of the U bracket, and secured down.
You can also see the Allen head under the rack. That is a 110mm bolt that goes through the base of the U bracket, through the pipe spacer, and bolts into the truck hole.

    Understand now?

In the passenger front mounting hole. I didn't seal it well enough. Took it all off and dumped silicone in them all again. Should be good now

Yup. I guess they go right into the frame. And the water runs down the frame by the window into the truck. Felt it on the floor mats

They have a strong piece of some kind of tape over the holes, under the weather strip. So you can pull up the strip and still be fine.
