Well it's never too late, my father in law changed careers in his 50's from a corporate exec, to a history teacher and loved it! Down side is the moneys not the same, but he didn't care he had made his money already.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Cab Rack! Especially interested in seeing how you mount to cab "track".

Shouldn't be too much harder just a matter of finding the height of the front since it will curve down so much. You can connect the superstrut vertically too. Which is a possibility if you bring it that far forward.

I want thinking keep the unistrut level and make a fairing up front and make some side pieces from abs or plexi to dress it up. I'll have to sketch the idea up

Yep that's what I was thinking too. Even for mine stopping at the middle I'll still have to make a side piece for the same reason. Won't know till I put something up there if I'll make a fairing or not.

I've got a quick release idea in my head too for taking the rack off when I'm not using it. I like my things modular. My camper shell is gonna be setup so it's normally off but I can put it on in a breeze

@Boogyman Try pricing some Lexan when you do it. I know it is more expensive, but is a shit ton more durable. I made a couple Lexan covers for my entertainment table to keep the kids from insert sandwiches into the VCR (remember those dinos?). Was so nice to work with.
Bet @scottalot could give you some ideas too.

The SOS force is strong in this thread! :D:fistbump: So while I was strolling through Lowes last time I was in the garden section and came across a border product that was flat made of what look like a thin version of a trex product. 12 bucks for I think 20ft. Might try a few things to flatten it out since it comes in a roll but since it will be sandwiched up against something already flat it may just stay that way. For 12 bucks and lots to play around with I'm going to see what I can do with it. If it doesn't work I'll go back to the aluminum strip I have on there now. I also have a sheet of plexi I can play around with too. :notsure: the Pennypincher in me is trying to keep this on the cheap. :D
