    Yes, my plan is to make one similar to his. I've been cutting the pieces here and there just haven't had much time to work on it consecutively. :(

    I personally have not other than if you Google DIY roof rack there is a rack that pops up using this material only on its side, so it can be done.
    I'll see if I can locate the photo.

    Not to bad. Op test SAT. Now have to clean up welds. It's 57"×44". I am very excited.

    For what it's worth, I'm going to be taking mine back to bare metal and figuring out something else for paint. I used 2 coats primer, two coats bed liner rustoleum, 2 coats paint. The first time I used a ratchet strap it took all of the above off.

    Finally got it knocked out, minus painting the washers on the aluminum pieces. Fourth picture is the coil spring spacers that i used to mount it on. They're $9.99 for a pack of 4 from autozone. Excuse the dirty roof, threw the kayak up there and went and caught some largemouth as soon as I got the rack done.image.jpg
