So I was driving around the other night and realized my front passenger headlight was out. So I went down and got a replacement and while I was swapping them out I realized that there was a light between the high and low beams and the blinker assembly that wasn't turning on. So after playing around with them for awhile I couldn't figure out what their use is but they we're definitely blown on both sides. So I replaced them and they work, but for the life of me I can't figure WTF they are for???
They're super dim, and don't really seem to have a purpose. If anyone has some input about them I'd love to hear it!!!

IIRC the dealer could and or can do this for you.... many will not and just tell you they can not, but they do have the ability of doing so had they been so inclined.

there have been a few people who have successfully convinced the dealership to do it over on ih8mud and on one of the tundra sites.

the other options of course is to do it yourself by pulling a wire or something along the lines, but again over on ihbmud there are threads on completing this method.

this was interesting off a google search...
    https://www.hessertoyota.com/blog/can-i-turn-off-my-daytime-running-lights/
the 2003 LC is not listed...

but here is a thread with someone mentioning their 2003 and the delaership...

@uurx I actually don't mind the lights that are there I just think the color of them look rediculous! I wonder if there is an LED or something a little brighter.

idk the older I get the more I like factory lights, that being said that one bulb does seem weak and useless..

there was a page i came across a while back and now cant find it that i wanted to post here, they had a grill and light replacement for 80 & 100 series LCs
it was some sort of projector retrofit style grill and light combo, was kinda ugly but also interesting....

as soon as I find it I will post it up here so you can check it out

imho, leave the lights as is and well you know... just arb/tjm/slee bumper and some big ol light force lights lol :spending::spending::boink::boink::bananadead::bananadead:

oh and one of those rear glass window hatches.... because toyota really failed us by disscontinuing the 80 series style rear slider!

HAHAHA, Yeah all those things are on my wish list and I've been following Kelly's development of those grill replacements and retrofits since the beginning over on MUD. This truck is proving to be just as much of a money pig as my Taco was!

you said Saturdays after 11 work better for you correct? That leaves the 13th or the 27th. Is one better than the other? I'm getting the shafts in tomorrow. I have to order the shaft seal and the reboot kit. Do the shaft seals come with the reboot kit?

Ok, lets go with Sunday the 14th then, I'll leave my place at 9:30-10 which gives both of us an opportunity to sleep in a bit. I shoot to be at your place by noon, does that work?
