Tacoma motor just simply has a lack of torque to keep this heavy truck lugging along up slight hills.

On my long distance trip from Tampa to now Seattle, I've done about 75% of the trip with my foot. The Cruise Control shifts ALOT in the mountains.

It's simply not comfortable to drive long trips and not have useful cruise control. Articulating your foot for hours with this weak motor and trans going up and down hills gets old quickly

I agree completely, I didn't pay $38k for a truck that didn't have enough power to set the cruise at whatever speed I choose and not have to shift constantly.
my 2nd gen had cruise that worked just fine. Once again Toyota dropped the ball that they claim they never held in the first place .
